Gingst ist eine Gemeinde im Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen auf der Insel Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . Die Gemeinde wird vom Amt West-Rügen mit Sitz in der Gemeinde Samtens verwaltet.
Gingst liegt ca. 12 Kilometer nordwestlich von Bergen auf Rügen an der Bucht Koselower See. Der Gemeinde vorgelagert ist die Insel Ummanz. Gingst grenzt an den Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft.
