Die Araber errichteten an einer Wasserquelle im Weiler Alqamah einen Brunnen, der bereits 1154 beschrieben wurde.
Ein starkes Erdbeben Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts scheint den Brunnen beschädigt zu haben, der anschließend wieder aufgebaut wurde. Mit der Verlagerung des städtischen Lebens rund um das Schloss entstand eine Tätigkeit der Schafhaltung rund um den Brunnen , wodurch die Notwendigkeit entstand, eine Tränke zu bauen. Die Fassade verfügt über zwei Waschbecken, zwei Wasserabläufe (Cannoli) und von Kapitellen überragte Pilaster. Der Trog aus Travertinoid-Kalkarenitsteinen wurde in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaut.
