Just behind the Wagenhuis next to a pond, where the Winge cascades down with quite a large drop, we turn right. Due to the numerous watermills that powered the Winge until the early 20th century, this tributary of the Demer is also called 'Molenbeek'. The valley landscape is testimony to a rarity in Flemish terms with a rich fauna and flora. In the marshy Winge valley, we can find, among other things, wild orchids.
