Overmere is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders and a part of the municipality of Berlare, located in the triangle of Ghent-Aalst-Lokeren.
In 1331, Overmere formed a single lordship with Uitbergen. Initially, it was owned by the lords of Dendermonde and later by the counts of Flanders. The latter subsequently granted it as a fief to the house of Massemen in the 14th to 15th century, to the du Bois family in the 16th century, to the van Coudenhove family in the 17th century, and to the families de Lannoy de Hautpont, de Croy de Beaurainville, van Roosendael, and de Heuvel in the 17th to 18th centuries.
