Schloss Oberlichtenau is a baroque castle with a castle garden in Oberlichtenau, a district of Pulsnitz in the Saxon district of Bautzen, about 25 km northeast of the state capital Dresden.
In 1718, Count Christian Gottlieb von Holtzendorff inherited the manor Oberlichtenau. To claim his inheritance, he needed a residence befitting his rank. Therefore, from 1724 onwards, he had a baroque castle built and a park designed in the English and French styles with valuable sandstone sculptures in front of and behind the building.
