Wittgendorf is a village in the Saxon Upper Lusatia in the Görlitz district on the border with Poland. Until its merger with Hirschfelde in 1999, Wittgendorf was an independent municipality. Since the incorporation of Hirschfelde into Zittau in 2007, the village has been a district of Zittau.
The village lies on the left bank of the Lusatian Neisse River between Zittau and Hirschfelde and extends over a length of 3.5 kilometers. The buildings of the village largely follow the course of the Wittgendorfer Water, with the northern end of the village located on the southwest slope of the Steinberg. To the north, the village borders on the Oberwald. Additionally, the village is surrounded by the places Oberseifersdorf to the west, Eckartsberg to the southwest, Radgendorf to the south, Drausendorf to the southeast, as well as Hirschfelde and Dittelsdorf to the east.
