The nature reserve, which is only 0.81 hectares in size, is the extension of the Schwedenschanze west of Fürstenallee in the Oesterholzer Bruch nature reserve with Schwedenschanze. Like this one, it is a dune that was used for burial mounds in the Bronze Age. The Schwedenschanze with its deciduous trees is also a natural monument, the graves are designated as ground monuments.
