The Beach of Mikri Vighla is covered by the strong northern winds during the summer because it is protected with an outcrop of granodiorite at its northern side. As such you will not find many kite surfers here but more families with children looking for gentle waters. To the north of the outcrop and cape of Mikri Vighla, you will find the kite and wind surfers.
