En Poeke, una de las divisiones de Aalter, se encuentra en la curva del Poekebeek un bonito castillo. Desde el camino que te lleva de Lotenhulle a Poeke, se halla detrás de un alto cierre de hierro forjado el castillo de Poeke. Especialmente la fachada con su frontón triangular, sus elegantes ventanas y las dos torres flanqueantes impresionan a primera vista. A un lado de la reja, una antigua alameda de tilos conduce al castillo. Las fachadas de color rosado y los puentes de acceso se reflejan en las claras aguas del foso del castillo. Detrás de altos muros viven muchos siglos de un pasado extraordinario...
