No es por nada que el cementerio en Hoog Kortrijk lleva el nombre de ‘Uitzicht’. Pasea por este lugar de silencio hacia el estanque en la parte posterior del Onument.
Ese Onument es un reciente monumento conmemorativo en forma de círculo de 2021. Rinde homenaje a las muchas víctimas del coronavirus y es un lugar de consuelo para diversas experiencias de pérdida. También se pueden organizar momentos, eventos y rituales. Silenciosos o ruidosos, pequeños o grandes, para vivir juntos o en solitario. Y en cualquier caso, es un lugar tranquilo, podrías llamarlo incluso meditativo, con una hermosa vista sobre el estanque y los campos que lo rodean. Junto al estanque reposa la escultura de mármol ‘Groot Gebonden Marmer’, una obra del artista de Kortrijk Paul Van Rafelghem.
