Desde Velzeke montamos en bicicleta a través de Oombergen, Sint-Lievens-Houtem, Vlierzele y Schellebelle hasta Overmere Donk. ¡En Schellebelle tomamos el ferry! En Overmere Donk rodeamos el lago y más adelante tomamos el sendero junto al Escalda en dirección a Schoonaarde. Allí nos dirigimos hacia Hofstade y así hacia Mere y por el nuevo carril bici hacia Burst. A través de Herzele, Grotenberge y Zottegem regresamos a nuestro punto de partida.
La ruta en bicicleta está completamente pavimentada y es adecuada para ciclistas recreativos y grupos pequeños de ciclistas de carretera. Se circula regularmente por senderos para bicicletas sin coches y a menudo por bosques y a lo largo del agua.
