Construido en 1897, se alza en el centro de la Place Haute, cerca de la iglesia. Se construyó gracias a la generosidad de Pierre Louis Bonafy. Este rico comerciante, angustiado al ver a los habitantes sufrir por un camino pedregoso y difícil para conseguir agua, legó los fondos necesarios para que el pueblo encaramado en una colina pudiera disponer en todo momento de agua pura y abundante. Esta fuente, que los Chatelaud llaman "La Margelle", consiste en una gran pila circular donde se vierte agua constantemente.
