Puerta de entrada al Campo de Marte , hoy jardín público, la Porte de Marbre era originalmente la entrada al patio del palacio de la abadía.
Es uno de los tres restos de la abadía.
Durante la Revolución Francesa, la colina se convirtió en un campo de maniobras para las tropas y los monjes fueron expulsados.
