Le moulin a déjà été mentionné par écrit en 1379. Il appartenait alors au Château de Binderveld. Le moulin, qui fonctionnait comme moulin à grains, a été plusieurs fois rénové et l'actuel bâtiment du moulin, en brique, date de 1910. Une nouvelle rénovation a eu lieu en 1937.
Les portes d'écluse, la roue métallique de fond et le mécanisme de mouture sont toujours présents. En 1993, le moulin a été protégé en tant que monument et les environs en tant que paysage villageois protégé.
