La Petite Schans est une fortification datant de la guerre de Quatre-Vingt Ans qui se trouve à Terheijden.
Vers 1590, le camp militaire espagnol Roma s'y trouvait, nommé d'après un commandant militaire. 200 hommes y étaient logés. En 1637, la schans a été construite dans sa forme actuelle pour protéger la navigation sur la Mark. En 1680, la schans n'était plus utilisée, mais a été restaurée en 1830 et remise en service, désormais comme bastion contre les Belges, en raison de la guerre d'indépendance belge. Ainsi, la schans a pris sa forme actuelle.
