Tongerlo è un villaggio nella provincia belga di Limburg e una frazione della città di Bree. Era un comune autonomo fino a quando, con la fusione del 1971, venne unito al comune di Opitter, che a sua volta fu incorporato nel comune di Bree nel 1977.
Tongerlo si trova nel sud-est del comune risultante dalla fusione. Il Zuid-Willemsvaart forma il confine occidentale della frazione. Tongerlo si sta lentamente sviluppando da un villaggio agricolo delle Fiandre a un villaggio residenziale. Soprattutto nel nord della frazione ci sono ancora diverse aziende agricole. L'Itterbeek, lungo la quale si trovano diversi mulini ad acqua, attraversa il centro del villaggio.
