Prosegui in direzione di Mechelen. Per evitare la strada trafficata con ingorghi: svoltare a destra verso Leest poco prima della prossima rotonda. Alla fine di quella strada, svoltare di nuovo a sinistra, sempre in direzione di Mechelen.
Ora ci stiamo avvicinando al ponte sul Zenne. Chi ha portato un picnic o uno spuntino pomeridiano può trovare un posto all'ombra sulla sinistra, proprio prima del ponte, per rilassarsi un po'.
Un tempo, il Zenne era navigabile, tra Bruxelles e il Zennegat, dove il Zenne sfocia nella Dijle. Ma quel tempo è passato da molto. Il Zenne è stato per anni noto per il suo odore sgradevole, poiché i rifiuti delle acque reflue di Bruxelles finivano nel Zenne.
Prosegui di nuovo in direzione di Mechelen.
Qui appare la torre di Sint-Rombout e il camino della Birreria Het Anker, dove viene ancora prodotto il Carolus.
