La città di Prettin è una frazione della città di Annaburg nel distretto di Wittenberg in Sassonia-Anhalt. Fino al 31 dicembre 2010, Prettin era una città autonoma con le frazioni di Prettin e Hohndorf.
Il luogo si trova a circa 40 km a sud-est di Wittenberg e a circa 17 km a nord di Torgau nelle pianure sulla riva orientale dell'Elba, a ovest della brughiera di Annaburg. Questa è per lo più un campo di addestramento della Bundeswehr e quindi una zona riservata. A sud, Prettin confina con la Sassonia.
