Dittelsdorf è un comune situato nella parte sud-est dell'Oberlausitz, nella contea di Görlitz. Il villaggio sassone conta circa 900 abitanti ed è stato un comune autonomo fino all'accorpamento a Hirschfelde nel 2002. Dal 2007, Dittelsdorf è una frazione della città di Zittau. Il villaggio è noto per oltre 120 case Umgebindehäuser molto ben conservate e curate, risalenti dal XVII al XIX secolo.
Il villaggio si trova nella parte sud-est della contea, circa dieci chilometri a nord di Zittau, ed è situato sui pendii del Steinberg e del Buchberg. Il luogo è attraversato dal Buchbergbach e dal Ziegelscheunenbach, che si uniscono a Niederdorf e successivamente sfociano nel Kemmlitzbach. Nella sua edificazione, Dittelsdorf si congiunge con il vicino Hirschfelde a sud-est. Le aree forestali vicine sono il Klosterwald a nord-est e l'Oberwald a nord-ovest.
