Düsseldorf-Garath verso Monheim am Rhein
Partiamo da Garath e seguiamo il tortuoso Garather Mühlenbach in direzione del Reno. Raggiungiamo rapidamente le Urdenbacher Kämpe, un'area naturale di prima classe: un antico braccio del Reno, una flora e fauna diversificate, antichi frutteti e come attrazione principale la Haus Bürgel – punto informativo, museo, distilleria, costruita sulle mura di un antico castello romano del IV secolo.
Dietro la Haus Bürgel raggiungiamo il Padre Reno e camminiamo lungo il lungofiume fino a Monheim am Rhein. Il Piwipper Böötchen invita a un breve viaggio dall'altra parte del Reno. O forse preferisci bere una birra nel centro storico di Monheim al confine tra Kölsch e Altbier? Proseguiamo a camminare attraverso l'ansa del Reno (dall'altra parte del fiume si intravede già Colonia!) e concludiamo la tappa alla Gut Blee.
