Dopo diversi anni trascorsi sulle pendici dei Vosgi come guida alpina, nel 2010 Florian Gascht ha deciso di tornare nel suo villaggio natale nella pianura dei Vosgi alla ricerca di un'attività complementare all'escursionismo. I due magnifici salici impollinati del nonno erano in cerca di nuove mani per la loro manutenzione, quindi naturalmente si dedicò alla cesteria.
Come illustrazione del suo percorso personale, Florian propone anche un'originale scoperta della regione dei Vosgi, combinando passeggiate nella natura e un'introduzione al piacere della tessitura vegetale.
