De Sint-Walburgakerk in Veurne is ontstaan uit een grafelijke burgkapel en werd eerst omgebouwd tot een Romaanse kerk, gewijd aan Onze-Lieve-Vrouw. Wellicht in de 10de eeuw kreeg de kerk de relikwieÙn van Sint-Walburga, waardoor de naam omstreeks 1100 wijzigde tot Sint-Walburgakerk. De kerk had een kapittel met dertig kanunniken. Tussen de 13e en 14e eeuw is de kerk verwoest door een brand en weer opgebouwd in vroeggotische stijl. De kerk werd in het begin van de 20ste eeuw afgewerkt met zijbeuken en een kort schip, naar plannen van architect Van Ascche uit Gent. Zomers worden op het orgel Orgelconcerten gegeven.
