De georiënteerde parochiekerk Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Sneeuw is ingeplant aan de zuidzijde van de Dendermondesteenweg, die de hoofdas vormt van het dorpscentrum en de gemeente vanouds van oost naar west doorsnijdt. De kerk is gebouwd op een rechthoekig perceel, het vroegere kerkhof, aan het kruispunt met Kerkham en tegenover de Kerkstraat. De westgevel aan Kerkham ziet uit op het als dorpsgezicht beschermde domein Van Acker met kasteel, thans gemeentehuis. Het vroegere kerkhof is thans grotendeels verhard. Slechts een strook naast de steenweg is aangelegd als grasperk beplant met drie jonge linden.
