De stad van Setenil de las Bodegas leven ongeveer 3000 inwoners letterlijk onder een steen. De natuurlijke grotten van Setenil werden als basis gebruikt om huizen rond te bouwen. Door de grotten moest men maar de helft van een huis bouwen, en de rotsen zijn een uitstekende isolatie tegen de hitte en de koude. Men denkt dat hier mensen wonen sinds pre-historische tijden.
