Kindlestown Castle ligt aan de hellingen van Kindlestown Hill, ten noorden van Delgany, 1,9 km ten westen van het treinstation van Greystones, en nabij de Dromont woningbouwontwikkeling.
Kindlestown Castle is een laat stenen voorbeeld van het hall house, met een mooi uitzicht op het platteland en de Ierse Zee. Het kasteel heeft zijn naam te danken aan de associatie met Albert de Kenley, van wie wordt aangenomen dat hij het in de late 13e eeuw heeft opgericht. Anderen geven een eerdere datum van 1225, waarbij het wordt geassocieerd met Walter de Bendeville.
