Het Mastbos, meer dan 500 jaar geleden aangelegd door Hendrik III van Nassau, wordt ook wel de ‘achtertuin van Breda’ genoemd.
Je loopt dan ook vanuit de wijk Ginneken, zo het bos in.
Statige beukenlanen, uitgestrekte heidevelden, donkere naaldbossen en prachtige vennen wisselen elkaar af.
Bredanaars, maar ook veel natuurzoekers van daar buiten, gebruiken het bos om te wandelen en te fietsen, te sporten en te ontspannen of om gewoon te genieten van de natuur.
