La regió de Bitínia és una regió del nord-oest d'Àsia Menor, actualment Turquia, a la part asiàtica del Bòsfor i de cara a la mar Negra. El seu límit natural oriental és el riu Sangarius; pel sud tenia Paflagònia, el riu Rindacos i Galàcia.
Històricament, la regió estigué sota domini dels bitinis conformant el Regne de Bitínia, amb un període de domini persa al segle vi aC. Durant l'expansió militar del Regne de Macedònia, Bitínia conservà la seva independència fins al 74 aC, en què la República Romana ocupà el territori i la convertí en província romana, i s'integrà posteriorment a l'Imperi Romà d'Orient.
