stadionet bruges hovedsageligt til fodboldkampe, Albaniens nationale hold spiller deres hjemmekampe på dette sted. Stadionet har plads til 22.500 tilskuere. Stadionet blev bygget på stedet for det nedrevne Qemal Stafastadion. Efter denne krigshelt er også en tribune i det nye stadion opkaldt. De øvrige tre tribuner er opkaldt efter Panajot Pano, Fatmir Frashëri og Vasillaq Zëri, legender fra de tre største fodboldklubber i Tirana.
Bygningen af stadionet begyndte i 2016 og blev færdiggjort i 2019. Stadionet hed oprindeligt Arena Kombëtare, men navnet blev solgt til en sponsor efter åbningen.
