Den Socialistiske Folkerepublik Albanien var fra 28. december 1976 til 30. april 1991 betegnelsen for det sydeuropæiske land Albanien. Albanien blev i denne periode styret af det kommunistiske Albanske Arbejderparti, et parti der havde været ved magten siden 1946. Før 1976 blev Albanien omtalt som Folkerepublikken Albanien.
Begrebet "Socialistisk Folkerepublik Albanien" opstod den 28. december 1976, da landet i henhold til forfatningen for folkerepublik blev "befordret" til socialistisk folkerepublik. Dette betød, at Albanien "med succes" var gennemgået stadiet for folkedemokrati og derfor havde ret til at kalde sig en socialistisk stat. Ifølge de kommunistiske tanker fra den tid ville det ikke vare længe, før Albanien havde nået stadiet for folkets gøre og kunne kalde sig en kommunistisk republik.
