Det nuværende slotkompleks blev opført i 1903 af baron Fernand de Beeckman og hans kone Emilie Wittouck, hvis familie fik det i besiddelse efter den franske revolution. Der er ikke noget tilbage af de middelalderlige bygninger på grund af en brand omkring 1900.
Efter baronesse Wittoucks død (1947) skiftede ejendommen flere gange ejer. Til sidst drev venskabsforeningen for sundhedspleje i fyrre år et centrum for socialt turisme. Omkring årtusindskiftet var der igen behov for forandring. Ejendommen blev opdelt mellem nogle nye ejere: Group Oostappen (camping), Twin Properties (feriehuse og hotel), venskabsforeningen for sundhedspleje (slot) og Limburgs Landskab venskabsforening (naturforvaltning og besøgscenter).
