Ingen steder er hansestadernes fortid så mærkbar som i Elburg. Det har alt at gøre med nærheden til havnen, hvor mange skibe engang lagde til. Indtil 1932 var dette en vigtig havn ved Zuiderzee, men den er forsvundet på grund af opdæmning. Nu er havnen i Elburg en turistattraktion. Vi ser træskibe ligge der, som sejler rundt med turister på slæb.
