Jernbanebroen ved Kanaalweg (kommune Hulst) er en resterende del af jernbanen (54) Mechelen-Terneuzen. Den var en del af den belgiske jernbane Societe Du Chemin De Fer International de Malines à Terneuzen, der åbnede i 1871. Først i 1948 kom jernbanen i hænderne på NS. Her passerede der gods som bl.a.: halm, korn, sukkerroer, ærter, gødning, hør, frugt, valnødder, men også marmor fra Italien, uld fra Australien, fyrretræer, jernmalm, køer og grise. I begyndelsen af 1950'erne ophørte passagertransporten fra Terneuzen til Hulst og Belgien, i 1968 passerede den sidste godståg her. I sporhuset (allerede ombygget) boede sporvagten, der sørgede for sikkerheden og meddelte stationen Kijkuit, at toget var på vej ind.
