Beim Geläut der Gentse Feesten im Jahr 1914 brach die große Glocke des Belforts. Sie wurde damals Triomfante genannt. Dieses Ding war damals fast 2 & 1/2 Jahrhunderte alt (gegossen 1670 von dem bekannten Glockengießer Hemony).
Im darauf folgenden Jahr goss Hemony drei große Läuteglocken, von denen die größte Triomfante genannt wurde. Seit 1913 wird diese Glocke elektrisch betrieben und sie brach beim Geläut der Gentse Feesten im Jahr 1914.
Sie wurde am Fuß des Belforts zur Ruhe gesetzt. 1948 wurde eine neue Glocke namens Roeland eingeweiht.
Ende 2003 unterzog sich die Triomfante einer gründlichen Restaurierung, mit dem Ziel, sie wieder im Turm zu platzieren und in das Hemony-Glockenspiel zu integrieren.
Die aktuelle Läuteglocke Roeland aus 1948 gelangte dann auf den Emile Braun Platz.
