Ein Ort der Nymphen... Ein wunderschönes Gebäude ist das Quellgebäude in der Kommende von Sint-Pieters-Voeren. Hier fließt der Fluss Voer, der diesem Gebiet seinen Namen gibt. Die Quelle der Voer befindet sich nicht im Gebäude, sondern entspringt etwas weiter unten. Durch das Gebäude fließen bis zu 4.000 Liter pro Minute aus dem weiter entfernt liegenden Quellgebiet der Voer.
Das Gebäude ist eine Art Nymphaion. Ein Nymphaion ist ein Gebäude, das in der griechischen und römischen Zeit zu Ehren der Nymphen "die an Quellen und Flüssen leben" errichtet wurde.
