Die Berendries wurde 1984 zum ersten Mal in die Ronde van Vlaanderen aufgenommen und wird 2010 zum 26. Mal erklommen. Der Anstieg besteht von Anfang bis Ende aus Asphalt und hat ein maximales Steigungspercentage von 14 %. Damit ist es einer der schönsten Anstiege der flämischen Ardennen, besonders für diejenigen, die keinen Asphalt mögen.
Die Berendries liegt in Ostflandern und ist Teil der flämischen Ardennen. Von Sint-Maria-Oudenhove aus ist die Berendries 0,9 km lang. Auf dieser Strecke überwindet man 65 Höhenmeter. Das durchschnittliche Steigungspercentage des Anstiegs beträgt somit 7,2 %. Der maximale Steigungsgrad beträgt 14 %.
