In Lichtervelde gibt es eine Gedenktafel für Henri Van Lerberghe, auch „Ritten“ Van Lerberghe genannt. Er wurde der „Todesfahrer“ genannt, weil er seine Gegner vor jedem großen Rennen stets warnte, „dass er nichts tun würde, bis sie dabei sterben würden“.
