Dieses Reservat, gelegen in der Gemeinde Westouter, befindet sich in einem Komplex aus Quellwäldern, feuchten Quell- und Hangweiden sowie trockenen Kouterböden auf steinigem Untergrund. Besonders die Vegetationen in einem solchen gradientenreichen Milieu sind sehr vielfältig und artenreich. Insbesondere die Quellwiese (siehe Foto) am Brandersbos (Dottergrasland) und die Quellwaldvegetationen dieses Waldes gehören zu den am besten entwickelten Vegetationen dieses Typs im gesamten westflämischen Hügelland.
