Genau wie der Bütgenbacher See staut auch die Talsperre von Robertville das Wasser der Warche. Ihre Errichtung geht auf ein Staatsdekret von 1924 zurück. Neben der Stromerzeugung dient sie hauptsächlich der Trinkwasserversorgung der Stadt Malmedy.
Südlich des Ortskerns von Robertville wurde auf einer Landzunge eine Liegewiese mit Bademöglichkeit angelegt. Neben der Staumauer befindet sich auch ein Bootsverleih. Nur 800 m Fußweg entfernt vom Staudamm steht auf einer Anhöhe die mittelalterliche Burg Reinhardstein, die zu festen Zeiten am Wochenende, während der Schulferien und an Feiertagen besichtigt werden kann.
