Die Tour führt uns zu der Basilika, die aus großer Entfernung an ihren zwei 56 m hohen Türmen erkennbar ist.

Wir radeln zur Fahrradbrücke über die Schelde in Wetteren und folgen der Schelde westwärts bis Knotenpunkt 12. Eine ruhige und angenehme Route führt uns über die Knotenpunkte 11, 8, 10, 73 und 99 zu unserem Ziel. Ab Knotenpunkt 99 fahren wir in Richtung 30, biegen aber links zur Basilika ab.

Für den Rückweg wählen wir eine kurze und wenig befahrene Route, um schnell wieder die Scheldeseite zu erreichen.
