Wanderroute – schönste Route: Wir parkten im Gewerbegebiet an der Kamplaan in Kapellen. Das taten wir bewusst, um nach zwei Dritteln der Wanderung auf der Terrasse des Aeroclubs von Brasschaat einkehren zu können. Natürlich kann man auch dort parken (auf der Seite der Essensesteenweg). Es ist eine typische Landschaft eines ehemaligen Militärgeländes mit unberührter Natur und ohne motorisierten Verkehr. Nur ab und zu steigt ein kleines Flugzeug auf.
