Bereits in der römischen Zeit war dies ein Land von Milch und Honig. Daran erinnert der Tumulus von Glimes. Später füllten reiche Ernte die Scheunen der Klosterhöfe und Schlösser. Noch später wurde hier Pflastersteine abgebaut. Und jetzt ist es eine herrliche ländliche Region, die sich langsam ihrer eigenen Anziehungskraft bewusst wird.
