Seva ist eine Gemeinde in der Comarca Osona, in der Provinz Barcelona. Sie umfasst den Kern von Sant Miquel de Balenyà, der rund um den Bahnhof Balenyà-Tona-Seva entstanden ist.
Die erste Dokumentation der Gemeinde stammt aus dem Jahr 905 in der Form "in territorio Sevedano". Die Kirche Santa María wird im Jahr 953 erwähnt und die Masia del Muntanyà im Jahr 1045. 1875 wurde der Bahnhof Balenyà-Tona-Seva eröffnet, um den herum der Bevölkerungsort bekannt als Balenyà-Estació oder Sant Miquel de Balenyà entstand. Im Jahr 1996 nahm die Gemeinde den gesamten Kern von Sant Miquel de Balenyà auf, der bis dahin zwischen Seva, Tona, Balenyà und Malla aufgeteilt war.
