Außerhalb von Teruel steigt die Route allmählich an und wird bald unbefestigt. Nach etwa 10 km kommt sie auf einen Schotterweg (ehemalige Bahntrasse) und steigt weiter auf über 1200 m, um dann nach Puebla de Valverde abzusinken, wo der Weg verlässt. Eine ruhige Straße in hügeligem Gebiet führt vorbei an zwei sehenswerten Örtlichkeiten mit besonderen Namen: Mora de Rubielos und Rubielos de Mora. Anschließend eine schnelle Absenkung nach Olba (700 m Höhe), ein kleines Dorf mit begrenzten Einrichtungen.
