Sie wurde 1897 erbaut und befindet sich in der Mitte des Place Haute in der Nähe der Kirche. Sie ist der Großzügigkeit von Pierre Louis Bonafy zu verdanken. Dieser reiche Kaufmann war betrübt darüber, dass die Einwohner auf einem steinigen und schwierigen Weg leiden mussten, um sich mit Wasser zu versorgen, und vermachte die nötigen Mittel, damit das auf einer Anhöhe gelegene Dorf jederzeit über reines und reichlich vorhandenes Wasser verfügen konnte. Dieser Brunnen, den die Chatelauds "La Margelle" nennen, besteht aus einem großen runden Becken, in das sich ständig Wasser ergießt.
