Beschreibung
Hoch über der Stadt Clervaux, im Herzen der Ardennen, thront ein Schloss aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, eine romanische Kirche und auch das große Benediktinerkloster Saint-Maurice und Saint-Maur.
Die schöne Burg, die hoch auf dem Felsen erbaut wurde, erhebt sich über den Häusern des Dorfes, die in Form eines Hufeisens um sie herum gebaut sind.
Die malerische Aussicht und die natürliche Lage der Stadt im Tal des Flusses Clerve haben sie zu einem geschäftigen Ort gemacht.
Das prächtige, im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörte Schloss wurde vollständig restauriert und ist heute der ehrwürdige Zeuge einer glorreichen Vergangenheit.

Interessante Ausstellungen werden im Schloss organisiert. Unter anderem gibt es die bemerkenswerte Sammlung künstlerischer Dokumentarfotografien von Edward Steichen "The Family of Man".
