Der Spaziergang über die Reekade bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf die Polder sowohl rechts als auch links von der Kade. Die Reekade ist im Sommer üppig bewachsen mit Zahnkrone, Raps, Disteln und die Ufer stehen voll mit unter anderem Katzenpfoten, Schilfrohr, Röhricht und Schwäneblumen. In den Wiesen sehen wir außerhalb der Brutzeit viele Silberreiher. Bussarde kreisen am Himmel.
