Diese Route führt an den 17 Säulen mit historischen Informationen vorbei, die Teil des Projekts "Die Chronik von Enkhuizen" sind. Dieses Projekt wird von der Stiftung Chronik von Enkhuizen in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gemeinde Enkhuizen durchgeführt. An jeder Säule werden Themen zur Geschichte von Enkhuizen behandelt, beginnend im Jahr 1572. Dies ist das Jahr, in dem Enkhuizen als erste Stadt in den Nordniederlanden das spanische Joch abwarf und sich für den Prinzen von Oranje entschied.
