The Tank Monument is a war memorial in the municipality of Leopoldsburg, Belgium. The tank monument is located in front of the Leopoldsburg station on the Nicolaylaan, where the Stationsstraat ends up there. During the Second World War, Leopoldsburg was liberated on 12 September 1944 by the Piron Brigade. Three days later, on 15 September 1944, General Brian Horrocks gave the orders for Operation Market Garden to the commanders of the land forces who had gathered in the Splendid cinema opposite the station.
