The extensive Ringsheim Castle is now located away from any village settlement: Only the church ruins in the castle park remain of the village of Ringsheim, which disappeared in the 17th century.
In the Middle Ages, the castle was divided into three parts. The manor stood on a high walled island - in front of it were two outer castles. Its unusual size spoke of the power and wealth of its owners.
In the 17th century, the then-ruinous estate was transformed into a Baroque castle. In the late 19th century, it was developed into a country estate modeled after the English style.
