This bike tour departs from Mexico City on the bike path to Cuernavaca, detours to Tepoztlan, passes through downtown Cuernavaca, and continues to its southernmost point, the Xochicalco archaeological site. From there it returns through Alpuyeca and Xochitepec to the convents of the sixteenth century in the foothills of the volcanic mountains, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The return is through Xochimilco. It is recommended to do the excursion in 4 stages, stopping at resp. Amatlán, Cuernavaca, Alpuyeca and Coyocoyoc (or Cuautla).
